We’re delighted to have hosted an end of year networking event for businesses this week to celebrate our best year in business to date.
We hosted the event on Wednesday 29th November at the newly opened Neighbourhood bar in Leeds. The evening saw more than 50 business professionals, entrepreneurs and journalists come together to celebrate a successful 2017.
The evening saw MacComms founder and managing director, Ellie MacDonald, speak about the firm’s journey since its creation in 2015 and the successes of MacComms and its clients over the past twelve months.
MacComms has continued to grow throughout 2017 with the addition of new team members and an impressive revenue increase of 140% in the past year.
We also announced the appointment of a new account manager. Tom White joins the team and will be responsible for both the management of existing client accounts and playing a key role in driving new business growth and development.
Graduating from Loughborough University in 2015, with a degree in International Relations, Tom has experience working in-house at a global technology company and more recently working for a large communications consultancy in London.
The event also saw entertainment provided from Leeds-based technology company and long-standing client, KwizzBit, who tested the knowledge of the attendees with a MacComms themed interactive quiz. Guests were quizzed on all things MacComms with a variety of prizes on offer for the top scorers.
Ellie MacDonald, founder and managing director of MacComms, commented:
“It was amazing to see so many of our supporters and clients come together to celebrate the accomplishments that we have shared together throughout 2017. The evening was a great success and we now look forward to building on this year and hit the ground running in what promises to be an exciting 2018 for both MacComms and our clients.”
On the appointment of the new account manager she said:
“We are delighted by the appointment of Tom as our new account manager. He brings valuable insight, particularly in technology PR, which is a sector we’re keen to embrace more of as Leeds continues to thrive as an exciting digital hub.”
New account manager, Tom White said:
“I’m thrilled to be joining MacComms and I’m excited to begin working with such an enthusiastic and passionate team who work with some of Yorkshire’s most exciting businesses. I’m looking forward to playing a pivotal role in building on MacComms successes achieved to date”.
