We’re delighted to announce that we’re celebrating four years of trading with two new client wins and a unique event.
MacComms has won contracts to manage the PR for iconic Leeds building, Leeds Corn Exchange and behavioural research company, SimpleUsability.
We’re now responsible for managing the public and media relations for both businesses, supporting Leeds Corn Exchange with a variety of events, business and tenant news throughout the year.
SimpleUsability, run by early pioneer of online technology Guy Redwood, has also joined as a client, with MacComms supporting the promotions of the firm as it continues to grow in its 18th year.
The news comes at an exciting time as we celebrates four years in business by holding a unique event at Leeds Corn Exchange. MacComms’ clients will be showcased at the unique networking event on Thursday 16th May at 5-8pm in the gorgeous Victorian building. More than 60 guests will be welcomed with an award-winning gin from Cooper King Distillery with entertainment from Leeds-based manufacturers of classic jukeboxes, Sound Leisure. Information, products and services will be available from all of MacComms’ clients who will also be in attendance and a range of activities will be available to encourage guests to raise vital funds for local charity, Simon on the Streets.
MacComms, formed in April 2015 by multi-award-winning businesswoman Ellie MacDonald, has helped hundreds of firms to raise their profile with clients across tech, manufacturing, food and drink including The Car Buying Group, Cooper King Distillery and Vet-AI.
Founder and managing director of MacComms, Ellie MacDonald, commented:
“The last four years have absolutely flown by. It certainly hasn’t been easy but I’m incredibly proud to have built a business from nothing to one which now represents some of the most impressive Yorkshire-based businesses. The new client wins are a great way to mark four years in business and it is fitting that we hold a celebratory event in the stunning Leeds Corn Exchange, showcasing these incredible firms whilst supporting a charity close to my heart.”
May also marks six months since MacComms adapted its business model to an outsourced director-led approach. MacDonald is now supported by a team of several professionals across niche aspects of PR, journalism, copywriting, marketing, event and social media management. Many of these professionals will also be at the event.
We’re really proud of what MacComms has become and we plan to build on current success and grow with additional freelancers and impressive clients added to the MacComms community to continue to support more entrepreneurial firms with their exciting growth plans.
