Our founder, Ellie MacDonald, has been invited to return to the college she gained her first marketing qualification in, to inspire the next generation of students.
Ellie, who founded MacComms last year, will speak to 50 students at Kirklees College as part of National Employability Week.
Ellie, who launched our successful start-up following an eight-year career in the industry, after studying at the University of Huddersfield and then post-graduate study at Kirklees college, will speak about her own journey to students interested in pursuing a career in business.
Kirklees College is running National Employability Week across the college next week (7-11 March) in a bid to improve student’s awareness of employability following college.
Ellie said:
“I wasn’t a natural high achiever at school or college but I have come a long way since then. I, therefore, hope that I can inspire other students to realise that hard work and determination can get you anywhere you want.”
Kirklees College Progress Coach, Prue Greenwood added:
“Progression onto a constructive route is vital and so we’re delighted to have Ellie, one of our success stories, revisit during National Employability Week to help guide the next generation.”
