Following the success of the bridal photoshoot we attended with client, Elenor Rose Bridal, we were delighted to see our write-up and some fantastic images featured over four pages of October’s Weddings Ideas magazine!
Our founder, Ellie, accompanied Elenor Rose Bridal owner Lynette Blythe, alongside a number of Yorkshire wedding suppliers to witness the preparations involved in setting up successful a photo shoot, prior to a wedding fayre. Impressed by the chic suppliers involved, Wedding Ideas magazine snapped up the shoot to use in their autumnal October issue.
A whole host of wedding suppliers created the inspirational shoot, to compliment the rustic backdrop, hay bale props added a touch of DIY themes to accompany the focal point, the Yorkshire Yurt.
Holding the photoshoot on a sunny Friday prior to a weekend wedding fayre, Kirsti Playdon of Whimsical Events was responsible for keeping everyone organised. An event organiser for 18 years, Kirsti has recently set up her business to assist brides-to-be in planning their happy day.
Bringing together suppliers to exhibit in both a brand new 42 ft Yorkshire Yurt and a 9 x 15m petal pole marquee, equipped with entrance with bar and fire, so much more than your standard marquee, suppliers flocked from across the region to showcase their services on the family run farmland of Wharfedale Grange, hired out for weddings by owner Claire Thomas.
Claire maintains an impressive interior design background, is on hand to help organise many big day’s held at her unique venue, as well as assisting with floristry and prop hire available on-location. Supporting Claire was Helen Ash, a former bride from the very farm itself. A wedding planner, specialising in creating lasting memories in care homes and for weddings, Helen’s stock ranges from the finest china to your name quite literally lit up in lights.
Providing the bouquet and floral head piece perfectly matched to the antique dress with shades of dusky pinks, creamy beige and glittering golds, was Halifax-based Firenza’s Fiona Pickles. Alongside bouquets Fiona created a bespoke section of floral table decorations and a luscious chandelier of flowers, adding a rustic twist to the conventional wedding décor.
Yorkshire based photographer Joe Dodsworth was on hand at the location to take those all-important images and capture the true essence of the location.
The bohemian style shoot showcased the true talent of Yorkshire wedding suppliers and delivered inspiration to brides-to-be.
