MacComms is feeling extra positive this month as after Ellie’s wellness retreat, positivity has become a main focus of our weekly meetings (more about that in another blog post…). As well as winning new clients, Ellie being nominated for a national award and expanding our team, good news has spread like the good weather, so we’ve collated it in one place for you to feast your eyes on!
Firstly, let’s start with our incredible client news as we are extremely proud of PMG and Arrow Self Drive for both winning awards! PMG received a national industry award from the Printing Charity and Arrow Self-drive has been awarded Business of the Year at the Eaton Smith LLP Business of the Year awards.
PMG’s national industry award from the Printing Charity is certainly something to shout about as Chloe has been awarded a £1,400 training grant! This comes following an interview in London and lots of hard work – an award Chloe is very deserving of. Yet this is not the first award for PMG, that was crowned with IPIA’s print award three years in a row and the Eaton Smith Business LLP of the month award back in January.
We were so proud when Arrow Self Drive won Business of the Year and Ellie, our founder, was there to cheer them on. The company has also recently pledged to actively increase its number of female employees which is great to see in a sector that is predominantly male lead.
In addition to this fantastic news, Pro-Reliability Solutions (PRS) celebrated its launch last week and has a fantastic video on the new website with a pretty familiar voice over impression … take a look here.
MaComms happy news!
We have welcomed a new intern, Emily Daly, meaning that we now have two Emily’s in the team. To avoid confusion, we have resorted to calling her ‘Dale’ and our original Emily ‘Doc’- introducing our new double act ‘Doc’ and ‘Dale’! Look out for Dale’s blog post on her experience coming soon..
Most of our happy news is centred around our Emily’s as we are also celebrating Emily Docherty’s ‘Macaversay’! Emily has been working with us for one year and we can’t believe how fast it has flown by– a celebratory meal is definitely in order.
Following Ellie’s positive inspiration on her wellness retreat, we had our first p-huddle team meeting which involves each team member saying something positive about another team member- a lovely way to start Monday morning and something we highly recommend!
Other happy news
With the non-stop sunshine and ‘it’s coming home’ resounding through the streets of Leeds, there is no doubt that July has been an upbeat month for everyone. We have loved enjoying the sun and watching England’s victories; it may not be coming home but we are happy they got to the semi-finals! In addition to this, we loved celebrating Topic Magazine’s launch of its Yorkshire edition last week; we thoroughly enjoyed the event as well as reading the fantastic new print.
Lastly, we’ll finish with the cherry on the cake of news that our founder, Ellie MacDonald, has been shortlisted for a National Forward Ladies award. We’re over the moon and so proud of everything she has achieved. Keeping our fingers crossed..!
We hope that reading our happy news put a smile on your face-we are looking forward to share next month.
